Privacy Policy

Fast2PDF (https://fast-2-pdf.com) is a free, client-side tool for converting Markdown and HTML to PDF. This policy describes what information we access, how we use it, and your choices.

1. No backend — your content stays local

Fast2PDF has no server that receives, stores, or processes your documents. All editing, preview, and PDF export happen entirely in your web browser. We do not upload your text or files to Fast2PDF servers.

2. Local file import

When you open a file from your device, it is read with your browser’s built-in APIs (e.g. FileReader). The file never leaves your device except as processed locally in memory for editing and export.

3. Google Drive (not currently available)

Fast2PDF does not currently offer Google Drive import on the public website. You can open files only from your local device. We may introduce optional Google Drive import in a future update.

If Google Drive import becomes available, you would sign in with Google via Google’s OAuth service only when you choose that option. After you pick a file, it would be downloaded from Google Drive directly to your browser using Google’s APIs. Fast2PDF would not store your Google credentials or file contents on any Fast2PDF server.

In that case, we would request the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.readonly scope only to read Markdown or HTML files that you explicitly select, solely to load them into the editor for preview and PDF export.

4. Google user data — limited use (if Drive import is enabled)

If Google Drive import is offered, Fast2PDF’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

• We would only use Google user data to provide the file-import feature you request.
• We would not use Google user data for advertising, sell it, or transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide the feature (e.g. communication with Google’s APIs).
• We would not use Google user data to build user profiles or for purposes unrelated to opening files in the editor.
• Human access to Google user data would not occur — processing would be entirely in your browser.

While Google Drive import is not available, Fast2PDF does not access Google user data.

5. Advertising

We may display ads through third-party ad networks such as HilltopAds. Ad partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Ad serving is unrelated to document editing or local file import.

6. Data stored on your device

We may store non-sensitive preferences (such as your chosen language) in your browser’s localStorage. We do not maintain user accounts.

7. Data retention & deletion

Because Fast2PDF does not store your documents on our servers, there is no server-side copy to delete. Closing the browser tab clears in-memory content.

8. Hosting logs

Fast2PDF itself does not collect personal profiles. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) may process standard web logs (IP address, user agent) for security and delivery.
